Demanding justice for the victim in the Hathras case, the Shiv Sena on Saturday staged a protest against the Uttar Pradesh government at Kranti Chowk. The activists also chanted anti government slogans.

Activists participated in the protest carrying saffron flags. The presence of women activists was also significant. Former MP Chandrakant Khaire, MLC Ambadas Danve, MLAs Pradeep Jaiswal, Sanjay Shirsat led the protest. The protesters were holding a blindfolded image of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The activists chanted slogans demanding justice to the victim, speedy trial and severe punishment to criminals. The protest continued for an hour. Balasaheb Thorat, Rajendra Janjal, Balasaheb Sanap, Damu Anna Shinde, former mayor Kala Ojha, Sunita Oulwar, Seema Kharat, and a large number of activists participated in the agitation.
