Aurangabad, July 18:

District collector Sunil Chavan issued directives to authorities concerned to take action against shops if found open after 4 pm.

The State Government imposed restrictions considering the possible threat of Covid third wave. The restrictions are being imposed in the district as it falls in the ‘Level-III’ category.

A meeting of the District Action Force (DAF) was held today to review Covid control measures. Officers of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, Health Department, Zilla Parishad, and police department present in the meeting were instructed to remain alert.

The percentage of patients between July 9 to 15 is 1.24. Sunil Chavan said that there is a need to increase the test of suspects in view of this figure.

He said that efforts are being taken to make sufficient available stock of vaccines in the district. The district collector said that there is a need to keep proper planning for the vaccination campaign.

He also instructed the authorities to make 100 pc vaccination of front line workers group.
