Aurangabad, March 16: Nine Smart City buses have been given to the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and two to the district administration for transporting Covid-19 patients. After the first wave subsided, the buses were used for transporting passengers.

However, the number of patients is increasing alarmingly these days. They are going to Covid Care Centres in rickshaw or two-wheelers causing risk of the spread of the disease. So, buses have been given to the administration for ferrying them, said traffic department head Prashant Bhusari.
