Standing committee election on Thursday

The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) will be organising a special meeting to elect the chairmen of the standing committee and five subject committees on March 12.

The district collector Deelip Swami will act as presiding officer in the meeting scheduled to be held in the administrative hall on Thursday at 11 am.

The press release issued by municipal secretary Nandkishore Bhombe stated that the desirable candidates can obtain the nomination form from the office of the municipal secretary at the CSMC headquarters on Tuesday between 10 am and 6 pm and on Wednesday between 10 am and 2.30 pm. The last date to submit the nominations is 3 pm on March 11.

On Thursday, the presiding officer will scrutinise the nominations in the meeting. Later on, 15 minutes time will be spared for withdrawal of nomination. The elections of chairmen of all six committees and vice-chairman of the women and child welfare committee will be held between 11 am and 2.15 pm, stated the release.
