Steps to resolve entrepreneurs' issues on cards

To address entrepreneurs' infrastructure issues related to roads, transportation, parking, water, electricity, and security, the administration has sprung into action. On Saturday, the Divisional Commissioner, Dilip Gawade, held a meeting in Auric City with all the district collectors, police superintendents, as well as the police commissioner and special IGP of Marathwada, along with representatives from various industrial organisations. During the meeting, the issues faced by entrepreneurs were discussed, and instructions were given to hold district-level meetings to permanently resolve these issues.

It may be noted that four major companies have announced an investment of approximately Rs 54,000 crores in Auric City. Along with these companies, many other firms are also in discussions regarding potential investments in the area. While Marathwada offers a favourable environment for industries, entrepreneurs in the Waluj MIDC area are facing challenges due to a few anti-social elements. To prioritise not only basic amenities but also the security of industries, the Divisional Commissioner held a Marathwada-level meeting on Saturday at the Auric City conference hall in Shendra.

Key officials in the meeting

The meeting was attended by Special Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, Virendra Mishra, Police Commissioner Praveen Pawar, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police from all eight districts, MASSIA president Chetan Raut, representatives from CMIA, Waluj Industrial Association, Laghu Udyog Bharati, Devgiri Electronic Cluster, Marathwada Auto Cluster, and heads of various departments related to industries.

Meanwhile, district collectors Varsha Thakur-Ghuge (of Latur) and Rita Maitrewar (of Jalna), along with deputy superintendent of police (DySP) Pooja Nagare, were felicitated on account of the International Women’s Day.

Instructions to hold district-level meetings

The divisional commissioner directed all district collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) in Marathwada, to address the issues faced by investors and entrepreneurs, by holding district-level meetings. The problems should be resolved effectively, along with ensuring law and order situation.

Police officials have instructed entrepreneurs to install security fencing around their industrial premises, set up CCTV cameras, hire private security guards, and arrange for private patrolling. The special IGP, Virendra Mishra, said that a security audit of the industrial areas in the region will be conducted soon.
