Aurangabad, April 16:

Talented Aurangabad girl Marmabandha Gavhane, who wrote the screenplay for the Marathi film, 'Well Done Baby' that premiered on Amazon Prime recently, is getting accolades for her work.  

Marmabandha, who is also associate director of the film, is a passionate, professionally trained and experienced new generation screenplay writer now based in Mumbai. She is the daughter of MGM university vice-chancellor Dr Sudhir Gavhane and Dr Shubhangi Gavhane. In a career that stretches more than 12 years, Marmabandha has acquired competencies in creative cinematic and visualisation skills and conquering word power to write captivating dialogues. She also took classical singing lessons in Aurangabad. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Arts from Mumbai University, she did a two-year advanced diploma in screenwriting from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. From her learning days, she started getting an opportunity to write from acclaimed screenplay writer like Niranjan Iyengar.

Her achievements and milestone

She has written the screenplay for several Hindi and Marathi films such as Nakshatra, From Sydney With Love, Ti ani Ti, Well Done Baby, Ra One. She has written screenplay and dialogues for an animation series titled ‘Chhoti Anandi’ and another animation series titled ‘Astraforce’. She has also worked as a script doctor at Fox Star Studios for two years and co-wrote the screenplay for an Indo-American film, untitled, based on mental health awareness and to be directed by John Upchurch.

What is she currently doing:

She is currently writing a Hindi feature film based on a self-conceived, original story to be produced by Pramod Films later this year and is also working on dialogues for a Hindi web series to be produced by Locomotive Global Inc.
