Aurangabad, April 3:

A lady teacher committed suicide by hanging herself ten days ahead of her daughter’s engagement, at SBS Colony on Saturday at around 3.30 pm. The reason of suicide was not known.

The deceased teacher has been identified as Kavita Pradeep Pawar (50) and was a teacher in Zilla Parishad School.

According to the details, her daughter’s engagement was scheduled on April 14 and the preparations were going on at the home for it. Her husband working as a headmaster had come from Nagpur for the preparations. On Saturday afternoon, Kavita had lunch at home with husband, son and daughter and later went in her room. After some time, her daughter called her but she did not respond. After a long time, the door of the room was broken and it was found that she had hanged herself to the ceiling fan. She was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in unconscious condition where the doctors declare her dead after examination. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Osmanpura police station. The reason of the suicide was not know. Constable N K Bhagwat is further investigating the case.
