Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The members of Marathwada Teachers union staged a strong protest in front of the Deputy Director's Office (Education Department) on Tuesday evening, demanding the removal of the secondary education officer who is financially and mentally exploiting teachers in Jalna district and keeping their issues pending.

Many issues of teachers are pending in the Jalna district. The salaries of eight to ten schools have been pending for two months. Teachers are under immense stress due to the disturbed financial planning. There are also huge irregularities in the monthly regular salaries.

The agitators also submitted a memorandum stating that the secondary education officer Mandgal Dhupe-Gaikwad is insulting to those go to solve the problem or take objections on illegal approval. The other demands included the removal of Gaikwad from office, his assets should be investigated, irregularities in salary should be eliminated, the case filed against Jagan Waghmode should be withdrawn, illegal personal approvals should be investigated, long-pending cases should be settled and provident fund receipts pending since 2021 should be issued, etc.

The memorandum was signed by the union’s president Suryakant Vishwasrao, general secretary Rajkumar Kadam, vice president Dynanoba Varwatte, Dr Maroti Tegampure and others.
