Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The maximum temperature in the city and surrounding areas reached 41.2 degrees on Thursday.
The scorching heat was felt from 11 am to 5 pm, with some relief coming after 6 pm as the temperature dropped. The minimum temperature stood at 25.5 degrees Celsius, increasing the dryness in the atmosphere.
During last week, the temperature dipped by a few degrees on two days,, but the heat persisted. Currently, the temperature is fluctuating. Over the past ten days, the mercury crossed 41 degrees on eight occasions.
