Aurangabad, Feb 12:

A thief stole Rs 17,040 of an 82 years old man while coming

to Aurangabad by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus for

his eye surgery. The incident occurred on Thursday at around 3 pm.

Complainant, Govinda Namdev Jadhav (Loni Khurd, Vaijapur)

had an eye surgery in the city on February 11. He was coming to Aurangabad by

MSRTC Malegaon – Jalna bus. He alighted from the bus near Shani Mandir at

Padegaon. He noticed that Rs 17,040 was stolen from his pocket but the bus had

left then. He suspected that a passenger sitting near him has stolen his money.

A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station.
