Aurangabad, June 18:

The Crime Branch police on Thursday arrested a motorcycle thief who was using a stolen motorcycle by changing the colour and registration number. The arrested has been identified as Deepak Digambar Sontakke (26, Rajnagar). The police have launched a massive manhunt for his other accomplice Sonu Munde. Crime branch API Ajabsingh Jarwal, constable Shaikh Habib, Vijay Nikam and Rajendra Salunke were patrolling on June 17 when they spotted the man with a motorcycle at Ulkanagari area. The police asked for the documents, and he said that it was his friend Sonu Munde's bike. When the police checked the chassis number, the registration number was fake and the actual number of the motorcycle was MH 20 CX 6284. A complaint of this motorcycle theft was registered at the Jawaharnagar police station last year.
