Fardapur: Tourists were once again attacked and stung by a swarm of wild bees at the world-famous Ajanta caves. The incident occurred around 5 pm on Sunday near Cave No. 26.

Due to a sharp rise in temperature, a large number of wild bees had been hovering near Cave No. 26 for a considerable time on Sunday afternoon. As a group of tourists was returning from Cave No. 26, the bees suddenly began stinging them. According to information received, the group included five senior citizens and four children. The tourists were stung around 5.30 pm. Security supervisor Samadhan Aage immediately shifted the affected visitors to the archaeological department’s office, where they were administered first aid. After treatment, the tourists resumed their onward journey.
