Traffic discipline must to avoid traffic jam on cantonment flyover

Aurangabad, Dec 16:

After the pursuit of the industrialists, the commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta has taken the initiative to prevent traffic jams on the cantonment flyover. Officials of the industrial associations and officials of the traffic branch inspected the bridge on Wednesday and took measures to prevent traffic jams on the bridge.

Work on the adjoining cantonment railway over bridge on the Aurangabad-Nagar highway is in full swing. However, the narrow bridge leads to a traffic jam every morning and evening. Therefore, the entrepreneurs, workers, passengers and motorists who come and go on this route have to face huge inconvenience. To solve the problem, the office bearers of Confederation of Indian Industry, Massia and CMIA met the CP on Monday. During the discussion, the commissioner gave various instructions to the officials of the cantonment and Waluj traffic branch. Following the orders, the traffic branch erected barricades on the bridge on Tuesday and appointed police personnel to try to ease the traffic. However, due to the large congestion, the barricades caused more traffic jam and the experiment failed. On Wednesday evening, CII president Mukund Kulkarni, Massia president Abhay Hanchanal, secretary Rahul Mogle, Sumit Malani, Shivprasad Jaju, CMIA president Kamleish Dhoot, secretary Satish Lonikar, BIMTA president Milind Thorat, Waluj traffic branch PI Janardhan Salunke, Dilip Gangurde inspected the bridge.

Instructions to avoid traffic jam

Entrepreneurs and traffic police officials said that while traveling on the bridge, all vehicle owners should follow the discipline of the lane, the companies should leave their busses at intervals during shifts. Measures have been taken to ensure that workers and industrialists in Satara and railway station areas come and go through the link road and follow traffic rules. It was also decided to make various suggestions to the companies and transport professionals in this regard.
