Aurangabad, June 25: Local organisation Aurangabad First has adopted the open space of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation named Santa Srushti, Ulkanagari. On the occasion of Vat Pournima, special trees like Banyan, Pipal, Arjun, Kadamb, Umbar and Neem were planted at the site yesterday. MLC Ambadas Danve was the chief guest.

Aurangabad First has the plan to develop an urban forest and oxygen hub on this site. Since 2019, more than 2000 trees have been planted and protected here. This plantation is done with the participation of local residents. It also includes 6000 square feet Miyawaki Dense Forest planted by Prayas Youth Foundation.

The MLC appreciated the project and gave few good suggestions. He promised to get a footbridge constructed on the existing nullah at the site from his MLC Funds to facilitate the smooth movement of the the citizens.

Aurangabad First president Pritish Chatterjee, directors Prashant Deshpande, Prasad Kokil, executive secretary Hemant Landge, Lalit Jadhav and Ravi Choudhary (Prayas) were present.
