Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A truck carrying steel rolls overturned around 2 am (wee hours of Wednesday) at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk while heading towards Gangapur after the driver lost control. The accident caused heavy steel rolls to spill onto the road.

Two occupants Rafiq Khan (32) and Laduram (17), both from Jodhpur, Rajasthan were injured and were shifted to the sub-district hospital by police. There was no loss of life.

Police and local authorities rushed to the spot, and with the help of two cranes, the truck and steel rolls were cleared, restoring traffic. Spilled oil on the road was also cleaned by the municipal fire brigade.

A case was registered at Vaijapur police station on Wednesday morning.
