Two hit-and-run cases: labourer and unidentified man killed, drivers absconding

In a shocking development, two separate hit-and-run incidents in the MIDC Waluj area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have resulted in the deaths of an unidentified man and a labourer. In both cases, the drivers fled the scene, and police registered offences on Tuesday.

The first incident occurred around 2:40 am on Tuesday on the road between NRB Chowk and CEAT Chowk, in front of Rucha Company. An unidentified man, aged around 55 to 60 years, was hit by an unknown vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and died on the spot. Based on a complaint filed by police constable Abasaheb Janardan Folane, a case has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sanjay Jagtap.

The second incident took place on April 12 in the evening near Oasis Chowk, in front of Abbas Petrol Pump. According to a complaint by Suresh Rakesh Bahmane (22), his co-worker Railsing Rama Barde (34) was hit by an unknown vehicle. Railsing had gone out in the evening and did not return for a long time. Upon searching for him, he was found unconscious by the roadside near Oasis Chowk on the highway. He was immediately admitted to Government medical college and hospital where doctors declared him dead after examination.

In both incidents, the drivers fled the scene. Cases have been registered at MIDC Waluj Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
