Aurangabad, Oct 14:

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has taken steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply to industries located on private land in Waluj MIDC area. The decision to lay a new power line in the area was taken at a meeting held at the Massia Hall here on Tuesday.

MSEDCL supplies power to factories in Waluj industrial area and industries located on private land in Wadgaon, Sajapur-Karodi. However, due to frequent power outages, small scale entrepreneurs face difficulties. Entrepreneurs have often lodged complaints with MSEDCL. Against this backdrop, a meeting was held on behalf of Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA). In this meeting, the entrepreneurs expressed their grievances and complaints about MSEDCL. MSEDCL executive engineer, Jitendra Waghmare said that the electricity is supplied to companies located on private land through the Karodi substation. As power is being supplied to this substation from 40 km, the power supply is interrupted in case of any technical problem. A new line will be laid from Tisgaon Chaufuli to Karodi substation for uninterrupted power supply. The work of laying a new line will be done till Diwali. Massia president Abhay Hanchanal, vice president Narayan Pawar, Kiran Jagtap, secretary Rahul Mogle, Bhagwan Raut, engineer P K Gaikwad, deputy executive engineer Prashant Todkar and entrepreneurs were present.
