Aurangabad, July 10:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) received 8,000 doses of vaccine on Friday night. Of which, the AMC administered the second dose to 7,000 persons and the first dose to more than 700 persons. The AMC had set up 39 centres for the vaccination today and the stock of vaccines got exhausted in a couple of hours. Meanwhile, the AMC is eagerly waiting to receive fresh stock by tomorrow evening, so that it would be able to implement the drive on Monday. It may be noted that there were 55,000 persons waiting for their second dose, out of which, 7,000 had taken their second dose.

Of the total centres, 34 centres were giving the second dose and each centre was having a stock of 150 vaccines only. The desirous citizens started rushing at the centres as soon as they came to know about its availability. The rush was made to obtain the coupon for the second dose. Meanwhile, the remaining five centres were administering the first dose to the citizens (having Cowin registration). Each centre was giving 200 doses. Hence around 800 first doses were administered today.
