Aurangabad, April 23:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is running a mega Corona Vaccination Drive in 115 wards in the city. However, the stock at many vaccination centres was over on Friday. Hence, the residents gone for vaccination had to return empty handed. Moreover, it is not clears that when the health machinery will get the vaccines from the government and until then the drive will be halted.

Presently, there are 143 vaccination centres in the city including 115 wards and 28 of the private and government offices. In all, 1.91 residents have been vaccinated till today while around 6,000 people are vaccinated daily. The demand of vaccines from AMC is 1 lakh vaccines weekly, but the government is providing only 15,000 vaccines. The stock was over after the vaccination of two days in the city. The residents were upset as they could not get the vaccines and had to return empty handed in scorching heat. Vaccines were not available at around 80 AMC centres since afternoon today.
