‘Values Are the True Wealth’: Awareness at Marwadi Mahila Sammelan

Stressing that values are our true heritage and must be passed on to the next generation, the Akhil Bharatiya Marwadi Mahila Sammelan was held in the city. In honour of national president Rekha Rathi, the event featured a family skit on ‘Our Values, Our Responsibility’, which left the audience emotional.

The skit, the highlight of the programme, portrayed present-day social realities through five scenes. It addressed issues such as career-driven youth, delayed marriages, single-child trends, and the loneliness among children. It also sensitively depicted the neglect of parents by children who move away for education, while emphasising the importance of joint families and communication.

In her address, Rekha Rathi highlighted plans to focus on child development, environmental awareness, women empowerment, blood donation, and organ donation. The programme was conducted under the leadership of 2024–26 president Pushpa Khandelwal. The newly elected 2026–28 president Madhuri Dhuppad and her team were welcomed and handed over responsibilities.

Performances were presented by Kiran Sharma, Pushpa Jhalani, Archana Pardesi, Rajkumari Badhaya, and Kanika Methi, with dance by teams led by Sneha Verma, Sonam Methi, and Sejal Khandelwal. Around 30 artists contributed. The event was compered by Sarita Jain.
