Workers on chain hunger strike in protest of pay cut

Aurangabad, Jan 2:

Workers have started a chain hunger strike in front of the deputy commissioner of labour and district collector office from January 1 to protest against the illegal pay cut made by Cosmo Films in Waluj.

In a press release issued on behalf of the Marathwada Labor Union, it has been said that due to the pay cut made by the Cosmo company during the corona crisis, the Mathadi workers have suffered tremendous difficulties. As a protest against the illegal wage cut, suspension of workers and other demands, a chain hunger strike has been started to draw the attention of the administration to the issue. The letter states that a limited number of workers will go on a hunger strike on a daily basis in compliance with all government regulations. General secretary Subhash Lomte, secretary Subhash Sawangikar, Chhagan Gawli, Praveen Sarkate, Arvind Borkar and others were present.
