Aurangabad, June 20

“Nowadays, people cutting across age and gender are living under stress. If you want to get rid of diseases and mental stress, there is no effective alternative than Yogasana. Yogasana should be part of the lifestyle not limited to training or practice. Only through this, we can become truly healthy and prosperous," Prof Uttam Kalwane said while accepting the first Krida Bharati Yoga Award-2021 at Damu Anna Date Hall in Hedgewar Hospital, here on Sunday.

Industrialist Mansingh Pawar was the chief guest, while Krida Bharati president Pankaj Bharasakhale presided over the function. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's city functionary Santosh Pathak and Pratibha Kalwane were also present on the stage. Sankarshan Joshi conducted the proceedings, while Vinayak Raut proposed a vote of thanks.

"My dream is to make Aurangabad free from diseases and stress through yoga, pranayama, meditation, posture and purification,” added Prof Kalwane.

Mansingh Pawar, in his speech, said yoga is necessary not only for physical flexibility but also for maintaining mental health.
