Aurangabad, June 28:
The vaccination drive launched by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is evoking a good response in the city. It has received a stock of 12,000 vaccine stock on Sunday night and the old stock comprise 2,000 vaccines. The vaccination drive got started today at 10 am and by 2 pm, the vaccine stock got exhausted. Hence the drive will not be implemented on Tuesday.
The AMC started the vaccination drive for citizens of age 18 to 44 years on June 22. Today, the vaccine was administered through 82 vaccination centres. The officials of the civic health section contacted the state government and tried their best to procure the vaccine, but sans response. It is learnt that the AMC will continue to administer the second dose of Covaxin to the citizens through the three vaccination centres.
