Godawari Power and Ispat Secures Regulatory Approval to Expand Production Capacity at Raipur Facility

New Delhi [India], March 02: Godawari Power and Ispat Limited has announced that it has received official “Consent to Operate” approval from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board to enhance production capacity at its existing plant located in the Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur. The approval, granted on February 28, 2026, permits the company to increase output of its Sponge Iron Division from 594,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA) to 650,000 MTPA and expand capacity of its HB Wire Division from 100,000 MTPA to 115,000 MTPA.

The company stated that the enhanced capacities can be utilized immediately, as no plant modifications, infrastructure upgrades, or additional capital investments are required to operate at the revised production levels. This positions the company to scale output efficiently and respond quickly to market demand while optimizing existing assets and operational capabilities.

This regulatory milestone reflects the company's continued focus on operational efficiency and compliance while strengthening its production base. The disclosure was made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements, ensuring transparency and timely communication with stock exchanges and stakeholders.

With the expanded capacity now approved, the company expects improved production flexibility and enhanced ability to support customer demand across its core steel product segments. The development reinforces its commitment to sustainable growth, efficient resource utilization, and value creation for shareholders.
