Gold Drops Again on March 23, 2026: Yellow Metal Slips Over Rs 12,000
Gold and silver prices have seen a significant change, with a sharp decline recorded on Monday, March 23. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), both gold and silver prices have fallen notably.
The price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 1,35,141 per 10 grams today, compared to Rs 1,47,218 last Friday, marking a drop of Rs 12,077. For 22-carat gold, the price has fallen to Rs 1,34,600 per 10 grams, down by Rs 12,028 from Rs 1,46,628 in the previous session.
18-Carat Gold Prices
The price of 18-carat gold is Rs 1,23,789 per 10 grams today (Monday), down from the previous closing price of Rs 1,34,852, a decline of Rs 11,063. Meanwhile, according to bullions.co.in, the price of 24-carat gold has seen a marginal rise and is being sold at Rs 1,45,520 per 10 grams.

Today’s Silver Price
According to IBJA data, silver prices have also declined sharply. The price of one kg of silver stands at Rs 2,01,500 today, compared to Rs 2,32,364 last Friday, marking a drop of Rs 30,864 per kg.
However, as per bullions.co.in, silver is being sold at Rs 2,27,960 per kg, showing a slight increase there. IBJA releases gold and silver prices twice a day.
