Gold Price on April 8, 2026: Rates of Yellow Metal and Silver Surge; Check Prices in Mumbai, Delhi
On April 8, 2026, gold and silver prices rebounded sharply on the Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), while crude oil prices fell by more than 16% following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran.
The decline in crude oil prices had a direct impact on the commodity market. As trading opened on MCX, gold prices rose to Rs 1,53,475 per 10 grams, while silver prices touched Rs 2,42,339 per kilogram.

Market experts had earlier predicted that crude oil prices would stabilise after the end of the US-Iran conflict, leading to a sharp rise in gold and silver prices.
On Tuesday, gold prices on MCX closed at Rs 1,50,448 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 2,30,779 per kilogram. Compared to the previous closing, gold prices have risen by Rs 3,027, while silver has surged by Rs 11,560.
In New Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has reached Rs 1,53,970 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold stands at Rs 1,41,150, while 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,15,520 per 10 grams. Silver prices in the capital are at Rs 2,60,000 per kilogram.
In Mumbai, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,53,820 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold is Rs 1,41,000, and 18-carat gold is at Rs 1,15,370 per 10 grams. Silver prices stand at Rs 2,60,000 per kilogram.

In Chennai, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,53,190 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold is Rs 1,41,590, while 18-carat gold is Rs 1,15,590 per 10 grams. Silver is trading at Rs 2,60,900 per kilogram.
In Kolkata, 24-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,53,820 per 10 grams. The rates for 22-carat and 18-carat gold remain steady at Rs 1,41,000 and Rs 1,15,370 per 10 grams, respectively. Silver prices are at Rs 2,60,000 per kilogram.
