IPL 2026, RCB vs KKR Today Match: The toss for Match 57 of IPL 2026 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium has been delayed due to rain in Raipur on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, raising concerns over a possible washout in a crucial playoff race encounter. As the league stage entering its decisive phase, every remaining fixture carries massive significance in the battle for the top four. RCB are aiming to strengthen their chances of a top-two finish, while KKR need victories in their remaining matches to stay alive in the playoff race.

What Happens if Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Gets Washed Out?

If the match is washed out, both teams will receive one point each. Such a result would benefit RCB far more than KKR given their contrasting positions in the IPL 2026 standings.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have enjoyed a strong campaign and remain firmly in contention for a top-two finish. A washout would take them to 15 points and keep them comfortably placed in the playoff race. With a superior net run rate compared to most rivals, Bengaluru would then require only one more positive result from their remaining matches to almost confirm qualification.

The bigger impact of a no-result would be on KKR. The former champions are fighting to stay alive in the playoff race after an inconsistent season and cannot afford to drop points at this stage.

A washout in Raipur would move KKR to 10 points, leaving them with very little margin for error in their remaining fixtures. They would then need to win all three of their remaining matches to finish on 16 points and would still depend on favourable results elsewhere in the tournament.

KKR’s inconsistent net run rate could further complicate their qualification hopes in the event of multiple teams finishing on similar points. Missing the opportunity to collect two full points against RCB would therefore be a significant setback for the three-time champions.

For Bengaluru, however, even a shared point would keep them in control of their own playoff destiny as they continue their push towards a top-two finish in IPL 2026.
