IPL 2026, RR vs GT Today Match: Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag missed the Match 52 of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday due to a hamstring injury. In Parag’s absence, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal took over the captaincy duties for RR. Jaiswal confirmed at the toss that Parag suffered the injury during RR’s previous match and is currently recovering.
“Riyan pulled his hamstring in the last game, so I feel he’ll be coming back soon. Shimron Hetmyer comes in and Yash Raj Punja comes in. That’s the two guys who are coming in. I’m really excited, looking forward to the game,” Jaiswal said.
Parag had experienced discomfort while fielding during RR’s previous game against Delhi Capitals. The all-rounder walked off the field during the second innings and was later seen receiving treatment in the dugout, with Jaiswal taking over leadership duties.
The injury comes at an important stage of the tournament as both Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans remain firmly in the playoff race. Both teams entered the match with 12 points from 10 games.
Parag has endured a mixed IPL 2026 campaign so far. The RR skipper has scored 207 runs in 10 matches at an average of 23.00 and a strike rate of 143.75, including one half-century this season.
Toss Result
