Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is set to buy a team from another league.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had planned The Hundred to be a league this year, but it was only recently decided to take it to 2021.

Following this decision, the ECB also suspended the contracts of the players contracted for the league, which led to financial crisis for the players.

In such a scenario, the news of Shah Rukh Khan investing in The Hundred has sparked a sense of joy among cricket fans in London.

Although The Hundred League has been cancelled this year, Shah Rukh has decided to invest in this league. The Telegraph has published a report in this regard.

The Hundred League was to be played from July 17 to August 15 this year.

In addition to the Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan had invested in the Trinidad franchise in the Caribbean Premier League in 2015.

So if he invests in The Hundred League, he will own three teams.
