Preparation for the Interview Phase
With the declaration of the Mains results, the focus now shifts to the interview round—the final and most significant stage of the selection process for Officer Scale I (Probationary Officer), II, and III.
According to official schedules, interviews are tentatively set to take place throughout February and March 2026. These sessions will be coordinated by Nodal Regional Rural Banks with assistance from NABARD and IBPS. The interviews aim to assess candidates on their banking knowledge, rural orientation, and communication skills.
Key Documentation and Next Steps
Successful candidates will soon be able to download their interview call letters, which will specify the date, time, and venue for their assessment. IBPS has issued a checklist of essential documents that candidates must bring to the interview:
Original educational certificates (graduation and post-graduation)
Valid photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport)
Category certificates (for SC, ST, OBC, or EWS candidates, if applicable)
Experience certificates (specifically for Scale II and III applicants)
Selection Process and Vacancies
The final merit list for the 2025–26 recruitment cycle will be prepared based on a combined score. For Officer Scale I, the weightage is split 80% for the Mains examination and 20% for the interview.
This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill over 5,300 vacancies across Scale I, II, and III posts. Meanwhile, candidates who appeared for the RRB Clerk (Office Assistant) preliminary exams in December are expected to see their results released tomorrow, 22 January, with their respective Mains exams scheduled for early February.
