Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, is emerging as one of the most anticipated films of 2026. Ever since its announcement, the project has generated strong buzz, with the recently released teaser further heightening excitement. Offering a gripping and thought-provoking glimpse, the film appears to be inspired by real events, exploring some of the most debated and controversial themes.

Now, ahead of its much-awaited release, the makers have unveiled a powerful new poster. The intense poster features Sanjay Dutt seated at the forefront, with a room full of people behind him, exuding authority and intrigue. A striking detail is his position directly in front of a book titled “RSS – An Antinational Organisation,” subtly hinting at the film’s bold narrative and his complex, powerful role. The visual sets a gripping tone, suggesting a story that delves into layered perspectives and controversial themes.

The recently released teaser hints that the film will delve into pivotal moments in India’s history, including the ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Babri Masjid demolition, and the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. It explores the evolution of one of the world’s largest voluntary organizations, presenting an unseen perspective. Raising thought-provoking questions, the film aims to challenge narratives and bring audiences closer to uncovering deeper truths on screen. 

Aakhri Sawal is directed by National Award–winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang. Presented by Nikhil Nanda, the film is produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt, and co-produced by Puneet Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, and Ujjwal Anand. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Utkarsh Naithani. The film is set to release in cinemas on 8th May 2026.
