Abhishek Bachchan has undergone a major transformation for his upcoming film Bob Biswas which is bankrolled by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies entertainment. According to reports, the Guru star has put on 12 kilos for his role in the film. Earlier, pictures from the sets showed Abhishek looking much different from his usual stylish self. He was seen in a blue shirt and dark pants, wearing a ‘Bob Biwas wig’ and large glasses. He was also seen with a big paunch to look even more like the contract killer from Kahaani.

For the unversed, Abhishek, essays the titular character r that was introduced in Sujoy Ghosh's crime thriller Kahaani. The role was originally played by Saswata Chatterjee and has been taken over by Abhishek for the standalone film. Bob Biswas is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. In November last year, SRK had tweeted: "Bob Biswas is coming to 'kill it!'". The film is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh. The first schedule of Bob Biswas has kicked off in January but was disrupted because of the coronavirus induced pandemic. Abhishek was diagnosed with COVID-19 in July.  The film also features Chitrangada Singh and is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh’s daughter Diya Annapurna Ghosh.
