Actress Mishti Mukherjee died of of kidney failure after following a Keto diet. She had been admitted to a Bengaluru hospital and her last rites were performed on Saturday.Mishti made her Bollywood debut with Life Ki Toh lag Gayi in 2012. She had also appeared in a number of music videos as well. In a statement shared by BollywoodLife, her family said, “Actress Mishti Mukherjee who marked her brilliance in many films and music videos with her ace acting is no more. Due to keto diet, her kidney failed in Bangalore and she breathed her last on Friday night, the actress suffered a lot of pain. Unforgettable and unfortunate loss. May her soul rest in peace. She is survived by her parents and brother.” 

Actor Kashmera Shah was one of those who paid her respects to Mishti and expressed her condolences to the family.  She had performed a dance number Govinda Aale Re alongside Rajneesh Duggal. The film had starred Juhi Chawla in a lead role, apart from special appperance by Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif.  She was reported to have worked in Bengali ventures as well, apart from music videos. The young actress was also part of Bengali cinema. Her death comes as another shocking for the entertainment industry that has lost a lot of big stars in the year 2020 including Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, etc. We extend our condolences to her family and may she rest in peace.
