Amazon Prime Video on Thursday announced that the Shoojit Sircar directorial Gulabo Sitabo will be available for streaming from June 12 onwards. The film’s leading men Big B and Ayushmann confirmed the news on social media.  Gulabo Sitabo is the first Bollywood film to release digitally amidst rumours of several other Bollywood filmmakers looking to various digital platforms.

Reports are also rife that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Ludo’, Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Ananya Panday and Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Khali Peeli’ are also eyeing a digital release amidst the coronavirus crisis. Bankrolled by Rising Sun Films, Gulabo Sitabo has been written by Juhi Chaturvedi.
