On the wake of the rising COVID-19 cases in the country superstar Mahesh Babu urged people to donate plasma as they are needed more than ever to fight the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. He shared the video, which was originally shared by Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, VC Sajjanar on his Twitter page. The actor pledged his support to the Cyberabad Police. 

Mahesh Babu wrote, "Let's do everything in our stride to help those battling with Covid. Plasma donors are needed more than ever now. I pledge my support to @cpcybd VC Sajjanar sir & @cyberabadpolice for taking up this initiative. #DonatePlasmaSaveLives (sic)."The actor is currently in self-isolation after his personal stylist tested positive for the novel coronavirus. A few days ago, Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh resumed the shooting of their film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, in Hyderabad. Reportedly, nearly six members of the crew tested Covid-19 positive. Due to this, the makers decided to halt the film's shooting. An official confirmation is still awaited.Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh's Sarkaru Vaari Paata is directed by Parasuram Petla of Geetha Govindam fame. The film will hit the theatres on Sankranti 2022.
