Dhurandhar: The Revenge: Ram Gopal Varma Praises Aditya Dhar’s Film, Calls Ranveer Singh-Starrer ‘Sholay x 100’

Dhurandhar The Revenge Review: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has heaped extraordinary praise on Dhurandhar: The Revenge after watching the film ahead of its theatrical release on March 19, 2026. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel has already generated strong buzz with paid previews beginning Wednesday evening. Taking to X, Varma described the film as a landmark moment in cinema, calling it a “Sholay x 100 level magnificence.”

“Dhurandhar: The Revenge” continues the story of Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh in a dual role, following the success of the first installment released in December 2025. The original film emerged as one of the year’s biggest hits.

The sequel features an ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Akshaye Khanna, who appears in a flashback role.
