The year 2020 has been tough year not only for the masses but the entertainment industry as well.The worldwide pandemic affected each and every part of the industry, including Bollywood. Shootings across India were halted and cinemas moved to release in digital platforms rather than theatres. Amidst these tough times, India's most prestigious awards ceremony applauded the contribution of their stars. The star-studded 66th Vimal Elaichi Filmfare Awards 2021 took place at the Goregaon Filmcity, Mumbai.  

Hosted by Rajkummar Rao and Riteish Deshmukh, Filmfare celebrated the best of Hindi cinema.Farah Khan has won the Best Choreography Filmfare for the title song of Sushant Singh Rajput's film Dil Bechara. This year's trophy also marked Farah's seventh Filmfare win. Gulabo-Sitabo starrer Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana have also won few awards Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior won awards in the action and special effects categories. Taapsee Pannu's Thappad has also received awards.
