Ace filmmaker Hansal Mehta will hold a digital memorial for his father who passed away last week. He took to his social media handles today and revealed that the memorial will be open to all for not mourning the loss of his father but to celebrate his spirit. Sharing a picture of his late father, the filmmaker wrote, “Please join us as we remember the late Deepak Subodh Mehta. A man who’s existence was a blessing. A father, a grandfather, a friend, a loving soul. A man who was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.”

“We invite you to join us in a digital memorial we are hosting and not mourn the loss of this great man, but to celebrate his spirit and the joy he spread in our lives” he further added. The service will take place on 10 June, starting at 5 pm to 7 pm, through Zoom meet which can be joined by anyone with no password required. On June 2, Hansal had informed that his father passed away. Sharing a throwback picture of himself with his father, he had also penned down a note. Calling him the ‘most handsome man in the world’. Several Bollywood celebs including,  Farhan Akhtar, Pooja Bhatt, Pratik Gandhi, Nikkhil Advani, Reema Kagti, Aahana Kumra, Atul Kasbekar, and Vishal Dadlani offered their condolences.
