Actress Kangana Ranaut recently returned to Manali after completing another schedule of her J Jayalalithaa biopic, Thalaivi. The Panga actress who has a series of action films lined up shared a video in which she is seen practising kicks, punches and somersaults with a trainer.  On the post, Kangana mentioned  Jaya Bachchan's Bollywood thali remark, stating that while Bollywood thali gave her a lot, she gave its first action heroine. Kangana Ranaut will begin shooting for Tejas in December this year. 

The actress took to social media to announce the news. In the film, Kangana will be seen playing an Indian Air Force pilot. Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, the film is being produced by the makers of Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. The actress also shared a new poster of the film in which she is seen standing in front of an IAF fighter plane. She can be seen donning the uniform and posing for the camera.Kangana's comments soon went viral as netizens reminded her of Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom and Rani Mukerji's Mardani.
