Peddi Trailer Launch: Ram Charan Thanks Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for Paving Way for Sports Films with Sultan and Dangal

The much-awaited trailer of Ram Charan's Peddi was unveiled in Mumbai on Monday. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film's trailer offers a power-packed glimpse into Ram Charan's character as a sporting icon and a leader for his people. During the film's trailer launch event, the actor thanked Salman Khan and Aamir Khan for paving the way for inspirational sports films with blockbusters, Sultan and Dangal.

“It was very challenging. Thanks to Salman Sir and Aamir Sir for paving the path for such films with Sultan and Dangal. It gave us so much confidence. Thank you both of you for starting this journey. These kinds of films have worked in the past, and we’ve followed the same route,” shared Ram Charan while addressing the media and fans.

The three-minute trailer showcases Ram Charan as a Peddi - a village favourite who is a sporting icon and a natural leader. The film, set against a rural backdrop, brings together cricket, wrestling and sprinting, placing Ram Charan at the heart of it. Charan is shown in several physical transformations, switching between a lean cricketer and a heavy wrestler. And his transformations have fueled the hype for Peddi, leaving the audience waiting with bated breath for the film's release.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 4.
