Malayalam actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran on Wednesday hinted about making a comeback in the directorial chair.  The actor took to social media to share that he has been inspired by his daughter’s storyline, terming it the ‘best he has heard in a year’.Prithviraj took to Twitter to share a picture of a slate that has a logline of a story set in the backdrop of World War 2. It is about a father-son duo who live in America and later seek safety and shelter at a refugee camp during the war. The story also has a feel-good ending. “This was the best story line I heard during this lockdown. But since shooting this in the midst of a pandemic seemed an unlikely proposition, I chose another script. Yup. Thinking of getting behind the camera again. Details will follow soon (sic),” Prithviraj wrote on his Twitter account.

Earlier, the Classmates star had revealed his plans  to make a comeback as a director with a sequel to his 2019 directorial debut Lucifer. The sequel has been titled Empuraan, and Prithviraj is working on its script with writer Murali Gopy. The sequel is said to reveal the origin story of international crime lord Khureshi Ab’raam, played by Mohanlal. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year. Earlier, in the day, the Mollywood superstar to social media to pay his respects to his father late  actor Sukumaran. Sharing a black-and-white photo of his father Sukumaran, Prithviraj wrote, "Achan. 24 years (sic)," with a heartbreak emoji.Sukumaran became a renowned actor in Mollywood during the 70s. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his exceptional performance in MT Vasudevan Nair's Bandhanam. Apart from acting in films, Sukumaran was also a producer in the Malayalam film industry.  On June 16, 1997, Sukumaran suffered a massive heart attack and breathed his last. He was 49.
