In a shocking incident a die hard Rajnikanth fan has brutally murdered a Vijay fan  after a fight over coronavirus relief fund turned violent. Vijay's fan M Yuvaraj had a heated argument with a die hard Rajnikanth fan in a inebriated condition which went out of hand. The situation worsened when Dinesh Babu attacked Yuvaraj and pushed him down. The latter died on the spot leaving everyone shocked.

Marakanam police officials have arrested Dinesh Babu in connection with the murder and the investigation is currently under progress. The body of the deceased was sent to a private medical college and hospital in Kalapet in Puducherry. For the unversed, Vijay donated a sum of Rs 1.3 crore to coronavirus relief efforts to PM-CARES Fund and Chief Minister's Relief Funds of many states. Rajinikanth on the other hand  contributed Rs 50 lakh to coronavirus relief funds along with providing  groceries to 1000 members of Nadigar Sangam.
