"Salman Khan is a very famous personality in India... Salman Khan has been seen wearing a Ram edition watch to promote Ram Mandir... If any Muslim, even if it is Salman Khan, is promoting the Ram Mandir or any other non-Muslim thing, it is considered illegal and haram," Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi said, reported the news agency ANI.

"I urge Salman Khan to follow the principles of Shariat... He should refrain from such activities and repent for the un-Islamic activities he has done," he stated further. However, several fans praised him for respecting all religions.
