Shiv Thakare Reacts to Viral Wedding Prank Ahead of Reality Show ‘The 50’, Says ‘Didn’t Expect This Reaction’

Bigg Boss Marathi season 2 winner and Bigg Boss Season 17 finalist Shiv Thakare was in news after he posted a photo in which looked like wedding. He wrote,  "Finally" which speculated that Shiv has secretly married. This news came as a pleasant surprise for many. Entertainment industry showered love and filled comment section with congratulatory messages. However, this post turned out to be a prank, and it was a project. 

Reacting to the buzz and how the news went viral Shiv Thakare told FPJ that, He said, "Some things aren't in my control; they're a matter of impulse. The joke was that it was a shoot picture I posted. I wanted to write, 'Finally, first shoot of 2026,' but decided to post more later. I didn't realize the prank would blow up so much that I'd get scolded at home. My mom was like, 'What's this nonsense? What's happening? People are calling me.' I got a lot of flak."

Shiv stated that the post led to numerous wedding-related collaborations, which will be beneficial for future real weddings. He clarified that the picture was from a Marathi Koli song shoot and featured an artist. When asked about a real-life partner, Shiv joked, "Aane toh do (Let her come)."

Regarding a potential wedding announcement in 2026, he responded, "Hopefully." Besides Shiv, 49 other celebrities will star in The 50, premiering on Colors TV and Jio Hotstar on February 1, 2026.
