Sushant Singh Rajput, enjoyed a massive fan following and the nation was in deep shock after the MS Dhoni; The Untold Story star was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 2020. Now, according to latest reports, a street in South Delhi has been named after the late actor to mark his birth anniversary. According to a report in PTI, a stretch of road in Andrews Ganj in south Delhi has been named after the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The civic body cleared a proposal for the same after South Delhi Municipal Corporation's Congress councillor Abhishek Dutt moved the proposal in September 2020. "It was cleared by the SDMC House in its meeting yesterday," a senior official told PTI. As per reports, Dutt revealed that the particular stretch is home to many residents from Bihar who were demanding that the stretch be renamed. An official statement read, “While Inder Colony is a slum area, the area councillor Abhishek Dutt argues that the reason for choosing this particular road, was because of the zeal SSR's movie 'Dhoni' created amongst the youth of the area," Zoom entertainment reported. 

With fans flooding the Internet with nostalgic memories of Sushant since yesterday, many Bollywood celebrities also took to social media to pay their tribute to him on his birthday. Rajkummar Rao shared a picture of Sushant in which he is seen playing a guitar. Rajkummar captioned the picture with a heart emoji. Sushant Singh Rajput and Rajkummar Rao have worked together as the main protagonists in the film Kai Po Che. Manoj Bajpayee shared a poster of Sonchiriya, a film where he worked with Sushant Singh Rajput, and wrote, "Always remember you celebrate you ,your work and cherish all the time that we all spent with you SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT !! Jahan bhi ho tum khush raho. Ekta Kapoor shared a video with a series of pictures of Sushant from his Pavitra Rishta days. In the end, the video says, "Remembering our Manav." Ekta captioned her post, "Sushi forever ! Shining bright like a star! Love n light wherever u r! Happie birth on earth day. Kiara Advani also remembered Sushant Singh Rajput by sharing a throwback picture of the two from the 2016 movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. The duo had starred as MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni in the film. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14 at his Bandra home. The actor’s father, KK Singh, had lodged a complaint with the Patna police on July 25, accusing Rhea Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and others. In the FIR, he had also accused Rhea of siphoning off crores from the actor’s bank account.
