Actor-politician Suresh Gopi has been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi due to pneumonia. The news comes just after it was announced by BJP that he will be contesting in the elections for Thrissur or in Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Media reports suggest that the actor got infected with the disease while shooting for his upcoming film Paapan. It has been revealed that he has tested negative for COVID 19 and he has been receiving treatment in a hospital for about four days. 

The actor is slowly recovering and his condition is stable. Recently, he shared photos from the sets of Paappan while revealing that the film’s shooting has started. Photos from the sets were also shared by his co-star from the film Kaniha.Paapan is bankrolled by David Kachappilly Productions. Shyam Sasidharan has been roped in as editor, while Vishnu Govind and Sreesankar will design the sound. The film has music by Jakes Bejoy and Ajay David Kachappally as DOP. In the series of upcoming Mollywood films, Pappaan is one of the most awaited ones.
