Heart attacks are the leading cause of death worldwide, previously thought to primarily affect the elderly. However, unhealthy lifestyles and poor dietary choices have led to an increase in heart attacks among younger individuals. Lack of exercise, sedentary habits, and excessive stress further contribute to this rise. In response, many are taking proactive steps to prevent heart disease. If you want to minimize this risk, adopting a few simple morning habits can be beneficial not only for heart health but for overall well-being.

Mornings are crucial for health. Engaging in healthy activities after waking up can boost your energy levels and improve your health throughout the day, helping to regulate blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. Here are five healthy habits to incorporate before breakfast:

1) Drink 2 glasses of water  Starting your day with two glasses of water flushes out toxins and enhances blood circulation. This practice helps control blood pressure and strengthens heart muscles, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

2) Sit in the sun  Spending 10 to 15 minutes in the morning sun allows your body to absorb vitamin D, which strengthens bones and lowers the risk of various health issues, including heart disease. Vitamin D is essential for regulating blood pressure.

3) Avoid phone use for half an hour  Resisting the urge to check your phone first thing in the morning can lower mental stress. A digital detox enhances mental health and benefits the heart. Instead, take a few minutes for breathing exercises to reduce stress hormones.

4) Stay activeEngaging in light exercise, yoga, or walking can promote heart health by increasing blood flow, lowering cholesterol, and enhancing heart function. Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily to reduce heart attack risk by 30%.

5) Have a nutritious breakfastStarting your day with a balanced breakfast rich in whole grains, fruits, nuts, and protein supports metabolism and heart health. Avoid fried, roasted, or spicy foods to prevent cholesterol spikes and reduce heart disease risk.
