Corona Vaccine: Health ministry issues guidelines on what to do before and after getting vaccinated

The outbreak of the second wave of coronavirus pandemic in India is on the rise and in the meantime, vaccination drive is in full swing. However, there are still many doubts about the side effects of the vaccine and people are avoiding the vaccine. In such cases, the Ministry of Health has issued guidelines on what to do before and after vaccination.

Step-1: If you have ever been allergic to a vaccine before
According to the Ministry of Health, the person who is vaccinated with Covid-19 should ask if he / she has ever had any allergy or reaction to any vaccine. If this has happened before then the person should be sent to the allergy specialist. One should proceed on the advice of a specialist.

Step-2: Health conditions should be assessed

According to the ministry, the health conditions reported by the vaccine manufacturer as a precaution should be assessed. This includes pregnancy, compromise immune system, and any serious illness in elderly persons. People with these conditions are eligible for vaccination, but they should be given the necessary information and advice.

Step-3: Information should be given about side effects
After taking the vaccine, there are some side effects, which means that the vaccine is working in the body. These side effects include hand pain, mild fever, fatigue, headache, pain in muscles or joints.

Step-4: Vaccine can be administered after this
According to the Ministry of Health, the vaccine can be administered after assessing health conditions and giving information of side effects.

Step-5: 15 minutes assessment after administering the vaccine

According to the ministry, the person after vaccination should be assessed for 15 minutes. At the same time, anyone who is allergic to a vaccine should be assessed for 30 minutes after administering the corona vaccine. Apart from this, the person should also be informed about where to report if there is further reaction.

Step-6: Immediately tell the medical supervisor if there is a reaction
After applying the vaccine, if the person has any unexpected or severe reactions and allergies, they should be immediately reported to the medical supervisor.
