Jharkhand reports 39th coronavirus death

Ranchi, July 16 With three deaths in the past 24 hours, the Covid-19 toll in Jharkhand on Thursday has reached 39 and the number of cases has risen to 4,600.

A woman, 51, who had tested Covid-19 positive two days ago, died at a hospital in the Godda district on Thursday. She had returned from Bihar two days ago.

In last 24 hours, over 350 Covid-19 cases, including 71 in Ranchi, have been found in the state. The cases are spread across 21 of the 24 districts of Jharkhand.

The deaths were reported from East Singhbhum, Godda and Hazaribagh districts.

According to the Health Department, there are 2,039 active cases in the state.
