An Iranian drone struck near the US Consulate in Dubai, causing a huge fireball late on Tuesday night, March 3, as Tehran continues its retaliatory strikes on Gulf nations targeting American embassies and consulates. This follows attacks on the US Embassy in Kuwait and Riyadh on Monday and Tuesday.
Eyewitness heard a huge explosion and a fire blowout from the building. Police reached the spot and cordoned off the roads nearby. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the Iranian attack on US Consulate in Dubai and said all staff were safe.
"A drone unfortunately struck a parking lot adjacent to the chancellery building and then set off a fire in that place. All personnel are accounted for," he told reporters in Washington.

Videos recorded by locals in Dubai show thick black smoke clouds seen blowing out from the structure near the US Consulate building.

The US embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was hit by two drones, resulting in a small blast and a fire, which was later extinguished by authorities on Tuesday. The Saudi Ministry of Defence confirmed the news, saying "minor material damage and limited fire to the building".
